Each year, the Foundation provides about $100,000 in tuition scholarships to students committed to practicing osteopathic medicine in the Northwest. During our anniversary year, we want to raise an additional $20,000 and add two new diversity scholarships beginning in 2022.

Scholarship To Support LGBTQ+ Healthcare

A basic tenet of osteopathic medicine is that rational treatment for each patient must focus on the body unit: body, mind, and spirit.

Patients in the LGBTQ+ community have always had unique healthcare needs that have not always been well understood by members of their healthcare team.

The Foundation will identify student physicians that are part of and committed to serving this unique population and support their osteopathic medical education.

Please help us reach our goal of $10,000 by the end of our 35th anniversary year.

Scholarship To Support Medical Students Of Color

Overcoming healthcare disparities is an important part of good public health policy and is a issue that needs attention in our society.

While the Foundation believes that quality and compassionate patient treatment, rooted in the tenets of osteopathic medicine, extends beyond race and ethnicity, we also believe that having a more diverse physician pool will help eliminate healthcare disparities.

The Foundation will identify student physicians that, as people of color, are committed to serving patients and breaking down the barriers that lead to healthcare disparities.

Please help us reach our goal of $10,000 by the end of our 35th anniversary year.
