Commitment to Diversity in Osteopathic Medical Education

Although the Foundation is not a member of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM), we support their efforts to bring diversity to Osteopathic Medical Education. It is our intention, by offering this Student of Color from a Historically Underrepresented Group Scholarship, to show our support for this effort. {LINK}

Historically Underrepresented Groups – AACOM: “Underrepresented minorities (URM) includes Hispanic/Latino ethnicity, Black/African American, Native American/Alaska Native and Hawaiian/Pacific Islander.” The Foundation prefers the term “Historically Underrepresented Groups”, but uses the same definition.

Applicant Requirement – applicants for this scholarship MUST complete the General Scholarship Applications AND the Supplemental Application below.
